Rev. Dr. Anastasia Kidd & Rev. Chad Kidd have been our co-pastors since 2016.

In 2025, our church expanded our ministry team to include Rev. Christopher Vazquez, our Chaplain for Community Outreach & Engagement.

Rev. Anna

Rev. Dr. Anastasia Kidd called Jackson, TN, home for her formative years, and moved to Nashville for college where she studied Psychology and Spanish. After meeting Chad and marrying in 2001, they moved to Boston where she attended the Boston University School of Theology and earned her Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees. After seminary she was ordained in the United Church of Christ and worked in the School of Theology’s Admissions Office for 17 years, supporting prospective students who were discerning their own callings to ministry. Whether in that role or in local church leadership, she considers herself foremost a pastoral counselor, loving one-on-one deep conversations more than almost anything else in the world. Her calling is to help folks figure out where their callings are – to quote Frederick Buechner – where one’s deep gladness & the world’s deep hunger meet. Anastasia transitioned away from her admissions work in 2021 and now serves as Director of Contextual Education and a faculty lecturer at the Boston University School of Theology. Anastasia’s book Fat Church: Claiming a Gospel of  Fat Liberation was published by Pilgrim Press, and is available wherever books are sold. Find her on social media @FatChurch.

Rev. Chad

Rev. Chad William Kidd (pictured here with Henry) grew up in Richmond, Virginia. Music was his first avenue into the church and it has opened many doors to the sacred for him! Chad studied church music at Belmont University in Nashville, TN (where he and Anastasia met!), and, feeling a call into ministry, progressed to a dual Master’s program at Boston University School of Theology. He received his Master of Divinity and Master of Sacred Music in 2005. Rev. Chad was ordained in the United Church of Christ in 2007. In his full-time job he is the Pastoral Ministries Manager at Brooksby Village in Peabody, MA – a large retirement community of about 1800 residents. He oversees a pastoral staff and together they support ministry endeavors for all the residents. Rev. Chad also serves as the Worship Coordinator and Director of the Seminary Singers choir at Boston University School of Theology, and since 2001 has served as the Minister of Music at First Congregational Church, UCC, in Reading, MA.
