The First Parish Community

First Parish has been worshipping in Truro since its beginning in 1709 – the beginning of the town, that is. In fact, the Congregational Meetinghouse had to be founded before the town could be incorporated. In the intervening centuries, our church has been a place of spiritual growth and community outreach. We worship during the summer months, from mid-June through mid-September, and have special services at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Our building houses not only the First Parish congregation but also the Friends of the Truro Meetinghouse non-profit group, which helps to sustain our historic building.
