shovel and dirt picture for truro siteThe First Parish Truro congregation is excited to announce that our historic building is continuing its renovation with significant maintenance on its foundation from fall 2016 through spring 2017.  Those who stop by the church during this time will find it closed and its parking lot full of construction equipment.  This means that the previously-planned Thanksgiving and Christmas church services will not take place this year.  The Pastors will hold an Open House at their home the day after Thanksgiving (November 25th), to which all are welcome (please be in touch by email to cwkidd@verizon.net to RSVP).  And we invite congregants and friends to visit one of the many Truro, Wellfleet, or Provincetown congregations for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day 2016 services.

As always, even when our church building is closed for renovations, its historic graveyards are open to the public.

The good news is that this much-anticipated foundation work will further improve our historic building.  Additional interior painting and repairs have already occurred, as well.  When we gather again as a congregation in June 2017 we will celebrate these changes, with particular gratitude to the builders, painters, and coordinators of the work.
