Each year it’s a favorite service for all who attend – our Blessing of the Animals! This year’s event will take place on Sunday morning, July 16th, at 10am on the parish lawn. Tents will be set up for sun or rain coverage, if necessary. This is an event for the whole town, and we welcome members, friends, and newcomers alike to take part in this great local tradition.

This annual service brings together members and friends of the parish and their beloved pets for a time of remembering God’s love for all creatures great and small. The service features readings from scripture, hymns, and poetry celebrating the beauty of the earth and all its inhabitants.

Whether your favorite animal pal is feathered, furry, or scaly, they’re welcome to come with you and receive a prayer of blessing from our pastors. Please make sure your pet pals are contained in some way (leashed, crated, etc.) so that everyone is safe and friendly. Barks and howls, meows and chirps, squeaks and hisses – all of these sounds sound like praise to our Creator!
