Our usual “on the lawn” setup for Blessing of the Animals last summer.

Join in the tradition – virtually!

With our worship moving to a virtual format this summer due to the pandemic, some were worried that we might not enjoy our annual Blessing of the Animals service this year. But with so many of us working from home and staying in because of quarantine, we’ve had even more time than usual with our beloved pets! This makes now as important a time as ever to celebrate the feathered, finned, and furry companions in our midst.

We will gather live virtually via Zoom on Sunday, August 9th, 2020, at 10am EST for our Blessing of the Animals service. This is a good one to invite friends and family, and we expect several visitors to our community this morning. If you don’t already receive our Sunday morning Zoom worship invitations, please sign up using this Google Form and we will make sure you receive them. If you aren’t able to make the live service, you can always check out our YouTube page later in the week to view the public portion of the service there.

Make sure your pets are near you during this year’s virtual service! We’d love to see you worshipping with them at your side. We are also creating a montage of pet pictures to play during the service, so if you’d like to share a special picture of you and your pets, please send them to TruroUCC@gmail.com by August 3rd, and we will include them. Feel free to include pics of beloved pets past and present.

We look forward to seeing you at Blessing of the Animals!
